Biography:
Mole Man, whose real name is Harvey Elder, is a Marvel Comics character. His first appearance was in *Fantastic Four* #1 in 1961, making him one of the Fantastic Four's first adversaries.
A misanthropic and near-sighted explorer, Elder discovered a subterranean world beneath Monster Isle. Exposure to the unknown energies and environment of this world caused his eyesight to weaken further, and his skin to become extremely sensitive to light. He eventually became known as the Mole Man.
He rules the underground realm and commands a vast army of Moloids and other strange creatures. Mole Man's primary motivation is often to seek revenge on the surface world, which he believes has rejected and scorned him.
